My Place
Music infuses my soul with life
And makes it dance for the world to see,
And only with music
Does my heart feel truly free.
The notes dance in my mind-
They make me smile at their play,
They make me want to live
They bring forth and end each day.
The tunes bring me hope and joy,
And a chance to be me.
They bring me whatever I want,
And most of all they make me happy.
Whether I'm on the stage-
Or singing in the shower...
Music brings the smile back-
With music, I'm empowered.
Drawing a bow across the strings
Or fingers on the keys,
Music provides me with a special place
For me and only me.
