Deep inside me- in the depths of my innermost soul-
Lingers thoughts and feelings I rarely did tell before;
There is so much more than you'd believe-
Below the surface.

A cave of shadows, a gleaming castle of mystery
Spinning in the ever turning wheel of my mind
And but I have hid that treasure well-
Below the surface.

An ever changing enigma if passion, of reason, of belief
Amble through the fortress of immortal life
And find their own strength- meaning-
Below the surface.

A treasure hunter looking for the facts of life
A romantic looking for her fairy-tale end
A giant who knows where she stands-
Below the surface
