"Gentle Hands"
Some gentle hands can hold a firefly and let him take to the air again
With no harm done to its delicate wings or feeble existence;
Some gentle hands can make great unrest a bitter scrap of memory-
Barely holding on, but letting go of every fiery drop of hatred;
Some gentle hands can press an infants head against a bosom
All the while it embraces its mortal innocent slumber;
Some gentle hands fight for justice, no more
And fight not by weapons, but by mallet;
Some gentle hands reach out to others in order to restore security;
Gentle hands, along with a gentle heart can hold the hand of a friend, not let go, and bring no harm.
"Acquaintances are those whose hands and heart you reach out and touch; friends are those whose hands and heart you reach out and hold."
