"A Star in the Sky"
On a day so long, but not seemingly distant ago
Someone passed away I wish I still knew
And even to this day I miss her
But then, and still now, I know what to do
Every winter she used to climb into the attic
And hang that Christmas Star on her balcony
Every night for a month she's let it shine there
Among the rest of the stars in the sky
After she died, I guess I kinda moved on
But occasionally I still find myself thinking of her
And as I sort through that confused mass of thoughts
I gaze at the stars in the sky and think of her
All the time people say my eyes twinkle
And sometimes I think its her shining through them
Or I think she gave me a bulb from her star
For all the world to see
Just like the stars in the stars in the sky
And every nigh there is a bright blue star
It moves across the hemispheres and hits my heart
But it's just the soul of a woman-
The brightest star in the sky.
