Stay Strong

Steady strength, standing strong
Dreaming these big dreams of mine-
Picking these radiant roses
Off these thorny vines.

Overcoming deterrents-
I always look ahead, never back...
I run into walls- I'm a klutz,
But I keep going- never to slack.

This path will bend without warning-
Leaving me near to clueless,
But I have friends who will stand by me
On this road to success.

And when it veers left not right,
And my goals seem to disappear,
They will show me that it's not what I am
But who I am, when I look in that mirror.

With all my heart I will go
I will plunge into this book and swim
I will not go looking for now,
But if he finds me, I will find him.

Keep my eye on the prize-
Remember all the pain and sacrifice;
I know I've given so much
But I haven't paid the price.
